The Anthem Weekly

Mar 28 - Apr 3

Welcome to Anthem, a church community following Jesus in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, helping people find their way back to God. If you have any questions, would like more info, or simply want to connect with someone, take a moment and fill out our connect card.

Good morning Anthem Church!

This has been a pretty amazing season of studying from the Torah (Genesis and Exodus so far) tracing the story of God's presence and how that shapes our journey of living as a people of God's presence. At the same time, we have had almost 400 hours of people praying in the prayer room since March 5th. The experience of living as a people of God's presence while studying the story of God's presence has been a pretty powerful combination. I am so encouraged by the stories that I am hearing and look forward to hearing more about how God is using this season to shape you, your pursuit of God and your life on mission to those around you.

Easter Sunday is in just a few weeks! I would love for you to be praying about who you will invite to join us as we preach about Jesus, sing about Jesus, celebrate the transforming power of the Gospel through baptism and enjoy being a church together. We are gathering at 10 AM at the Thousand Oaks High School stadium. Many of you have signed up to serve on teams for the day, we are so excited to work together to bring Jesus to our community.

Have a great weekend and we hope to see you soon!

Matt

What’s On

  • This year we are calling the church to 40 days of prayer leading up to Easter Sunday. Our goal is to fill the prayer room from 5 AM to 10 PM every day for the 40 days of Lent (excluding Sundays).

Our hope is that we take these 680 hours of prayer to set in rhythms of dependence and devotion expressed in prayer. This is a corporate project of discipline, not only of growing our prayer muscle, but it is also a project of seeking God to open doors to reaching people in the Conejo Valley with the Gospel.
