The Anthem Weekly

Dec 20 - 26

Welcome to Anthem, a church community following Jesus in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, helping people find their way back to God. If you have any questions, would like more info, or simply want to connect with someone, take a moment and fill out our connect card.

Merry Christmas Anthem Church!

I hope you are having an amazing week as things start to ramp up for Christmas celebrations. We are so excited to spend this Christmas season with you and are looking forward to the next few days. This Sunday, Bert will be teaching on love in an age of counterfeits. Then on Tuesday we will be celebrating Christmas Eve together. We have three services happening throughout the afternoon (2, 3:45 and 5:30). We'd like to thank those of you that have signed up for a gathering, already that has been helpful for us to start planning for Christmas Eve. My prayer is that God would use this weekend to continue to deepen our love and adoration for Jesus and that love would spill out of us into the lives of the people around us.

If you are available to help serve at our Christmas Eve gatherings, we are forming a few different serve teams and it would be amazing to have you join us. You can click here to see the different ways to serve with us on Christmas Eve.

We look forward to seeing you over the next few days and celebrating Jesus with all of you. Merry Christmas!

-Matt

Each gathering will be family-style and we’ll have a fun filled patio time in between each gathering. Please to come early or stay late; enjoy some hot chocolate and treats and time together with the church community.

Reserves your seats! We are expecting a full house for the day.

    When: Dec 24th

    2:00pm Gathering

    3:45pm Gathering

    5:30pm Gathering

  • Beginning on January 5, 2025, we are going to move our gatherings up 30 minutes to 8:30 am and 10:30 am. The hope for this move is that these slightly earlier times will make it easier for families with kids to attend either gathering.

For the last several months we’ve been near capacity in the Chapel, and over capacity in Anthem Kids. As a leadership team, we have been talking about how best to accommodate the number of people joining us on Sundays.

While adding a third gathering is an obvious solution, we don’t feel quite ready for that yet. Since the most pressing need is to even out the numbers in Anthem Kids, we hope that the time changes will be a helpful step in that direction.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
