The Anthem Weekly
Jan 17-23
Welcome to Anthem, a church community following Jesus in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, helping people find their way back to God. If you have any questions, would like more info, or simply want to connect with someone, take a moment and fill out our connect card.
Hello Anthem Church!
I am grateful for our life together as a church, God has been so faithful to stir and challenge us every step of the way. For the next three weeks we will be leaning into a vision series of where we see God taking us in the years to come. We are excited to share what we see God doing in us and look forward to all being together for our family meeting on Feb 2nd.
Fire Response
I want to start by saying thank you for all that you have already provided. It has been amazing to see Anthem Church respond with generosity and compassion. For those of you that are interested in contributing to the ongoing needs in LA, we have received some input on ways people can begin to serve. Here is a portion of an email that we received from Kirk Dewitt (lead pastor at Conejo Church):
Right now, deliveries are going directly from Calvary to the Dream Center. Items can be dropped off at Calvary and will be delivered several times a week. Here is the current list of needs. (Please note that the list will change at least weekly.)
High priority:
Gift Cards
Non-perishable food
Size 5 or 6 diapers
Next priority:
Toilet Paper
Paper Towels
Large Trash Bags
Safety Glasses/Goggles
Protective Coveralls
Work Gloves
Air Purifiers
New Socks & Underwear
Calvary is also collecting the names of companies who are willing to help, like restaurants, realtors, contractors, etc. If you have connections and resources to share, please let me know so I can include it in the asset list.
We also have a number of people from Anthem that are a part of the Red Cross and they shared that the need for helping hands is growing. Here is a link to volunteer with the Red Cross.
Baptism
We have heard from a number of you that you are interested in being baptized. If that’s you, would you click here to fill out a form and we can start working on our next baptism date.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Anthem is once again preparing to send a group from our church on a short term mission trip. This year, we will be returning to Ensenada June 15-20 to work with the YUGO organization where we will enjoy the privilege of serving the Lord through building two homes for local families. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to travel and serve together.
We will be sharing more about this trip before and after our Sunday Gatherings on January 26th. We will also have an information meeting on February, 6th.
Please begin praying over whether the Lord would lead you to join the team and/or help support the work this year.
