The Anthem Weekly
Feb 21 - 27
Welcome to Anthem, a church community following Jesus in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, helping people find their way back to God. If you have any questions, would like more info, or simply want to connect with someone, take a moment and fill out our connect card.
Hello Anthem Church!
I hope you are having an amazing week. As we have been reading through the pledge cards for the prayer room we have been so encouraged to see the readiness of our church to embark on a project of prayer as we live as a people of his presence. So far we have over 500 hours of prayer pledged, which is an amazing thing to see! This Sunday, all of you that pledged hours in the prayer room will receive an email with a link to go and sign up for actual hours in the room. Those that didn't fill out pledge cards will have the opportunity through a QR code that we give out on Sunday morning. The hope is that we move into a space of preparation, readying ourselves to walk through this season together starting on March 5th. We are so excited to grow in our prayer, worship, dependence and contending on behalf of those around us.
This Sunday Bert will be continuing our series in the Torah with a teaching on "the fall" and the separation from God that humanity has experienced through sin. While that creates a longing for God, it is not without hope. We hope you can join us this weekend!

What’s On

We have several Anthem Kids with unique needs who sometimes need a little help during classroom time or otherwise. We want to make sure that we are creating a welcoming, safe, and loving environment where EVERY kid that comes in the U can grow closer to Jesus and feel included in our Anthem Kids program. We are hoping to form a team of men and women who would come into the classrooms and be a ‘buddy” for these special Anthem Kids giving them the one on one attention that will help them thrive!
You don’t need any special expertise or experience, and we will offer training and guidance along the way. We just need your willingness and heart to serve.
We are in the process of forming the team now, so please prayerfully consider whether you could be part of this super special team to help make a difference in some of our special Anthem Kids lives. It could be a once a month commitment or more, you decide, but we would love to continue to make Anthem Kids a place where every child can thrive.
If you have any questions or if you are ready to step in and join the team, please reach out to Jenni Schweizer at Jenni@anthemchurch.org.

We hope to put together a group of 10-15 people from the Anthem family to go to Nepal this November. This meeting is the best place to hear the heart behind the trip as well as get all the details for signing up.
Please begin praying over whether the Lord would lead you to join in or to help support those going on the trip.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mark Avery at mark@touchnepal.org.
